
Dev Batra, MD, an interventional radiologist at Texas Vascular Institute in Hurst and Dallas, Texas, is passionate about his work in screening, diagnosing and treating vein problems. He has more than a decade of experience and takes a personal approach to caring for his patients, utilizing the latest technologies to achieve results that improve their quality of life.
After earning his Doctor of Medicine at Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska, Dr. Batra completed a residency in radiology at Grand Rapids Medical Education Partners, which is affiliated with the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine in East Lansing, Michigan. He added a fellowship in vascular and interventional radiology at the University of Colorado in Denver, Colorado.
Dr. Batra is certified by the American Board of Radiology in diagnostic radiology and vascular and interventional radiology. He is affiliated with several hospitals in the Dallas area and is an active member of the Society of Interventional Radiology and the Outpatient Endovascular and Interventional Society. Dr. Batra has held a series of significant positions, including medical director, chair of the radiology department, and patient safety officer.
Dr. Batra’s devotion to his patients’ care shines through his nomination as one of D-Magazine’s best doctors four years in a row. He has been selected as a SuperDoctors Rising Star, and has been accorded top doctor status by Living Well Magazine.
In his free time, Dr. Batra enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, watching live sports, and sampling the Dallas restaurants.

Dr. Steve C. Hong, MD is a board-certified interventional radiologist with expertise in both Vascular and Interventional Radiology and Diagnostic Radiology, certified by the American Board of Radiology.
He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from the University of Illinois and his M.D. degree from Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. Dr. Hong completed his Diagnostic Radiology residency and Interventional Radiology Fellowship at Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital (formerly William Beaumont Hospital) in Royal Oak, MI.
For the past 14 years, Dr. Hong has practiced at a level-one regional trauma center in East Central Illinois, performing advanced, minimally invasive procedures to treat a wide array of conditions, including arterial disease, vein disease, cancer, spine fractures, and pain management. These innovative treatments have significantly improved his patients’ quality of life, enabling them to regain daily function. And now, he has brought these interventions to the Texas Vascular Institute.
Dr. Hong is deeply passionate about education and mentorship, especially in teaching other healthcare providers and the next generation of doctors. He has served as faculty for the Carle Integrated Vascular Surgery residency and as an Assistant Clinical Professor at the Carle Illinois College of Medicine. In addition, he frequently delivers lectures on various interventional radiology topics as an expert speaker. Dr. Hong is equally committed to patient education. Motivated by his encounters with patients who lack understanding of their health conditions, he strives to empower them with knowledge during clinic visits, enabling them to make informed decisions about their care.
Outside of his medical practice, Dr. Hong enjoys spending quality time with his wife and two children. Together, they create lasting memories through traveling, binge-watching shows, and exploring new foods and restaurants.

Dr. Kareem Elshatory, MD, is a board-certified Vein Specialist boasting over 20 years of experience in vein care and related fields. As part of Texas Vascular Institute, a team of elite
specialists dedicated to achieving optimal results through advanced, minimally invasive treatments, he possesses extensive knowledge and experience in addressing varicose veins, conducting minimally invasive vein procedures, and providing reticular vein therapies.
Dr. Elshatory is committed to offering high-quality, personalized vein care to the Dallas-Fort Worth community. Known for his professional yet approachable demeanor, he ensures that
every patient feels at ease and well-informed.
He takes the time to listen to patients’ concerns

Dr. Elshatory’s medical journey began at the Ain Shams Faculty of Medicine in Cairo, Egypt. He completed a resident internship at Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center in Plainfield, New
Jersey, followed by an internal medicine residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan.
He then pursued a fellowship in allergy and immunology at Louisiana State University in New Orleans, Louisiana. He is also a member of the American College of Physicians and the American College of Emergency Physicians.
Beyond his professional life, Dr. Elshatory takes pride in being a devoted husband and father. He loves playing basketball, especially with his sons, who bring exciting energy to the game. In his leisure time, he enjoys biking, maintaining his fitness with gym workouts, and playing his guitar, with a special passion for Spanish guitar.

Amazing Practice
I'm very particular with my Healthcare and tend to be cautious with referrals to specialists. This office is amazing from the first point of contact.
